About Us
David Bierman, the owner, graduated with a B.A., Music Ed. from Kean College in N.J. in 1980

David fullfilled his teaching internship at the Summit School system in Summit N.J.

His major instrument was trumpet having studied under John Ware of the N.Y. Philharmonic.

A 2nd generation trumpet player, he has played in many local concert bands and orchestras including the Concert orchestra of Union County, the Newark Pops Orchestra, The Westfield Concert Band, and the Ocean Grove Concert Band as well as soloing for many local churches.

He has taught locally and maintained a private teaching practice.

David has been repairing band instruments for over 30 years.

He developed an interest in repairing musical instruments from his uncle (Lewis Bevan) who ran a 2nd generation piano repair business.
David even took a piano maintenance and repair course in college given by Rodger Endress of the 5th generation Steinway dealership and repair shop.
Being a vintage car enthusiast he liked working with his hands so the repair of band instruments allowed him to combine his interests. Having taught in the classroom gives him the understanding of lost rehearsal time hence a quick turn around on repairs. Also his training as an instructor has given him the background to play test all the instruments he repairs.

Excellent job on the repair at a low price! Me and my son learned a lot
of information about the instrument as he was fixing the clarinet.
I appreciate everything.
